Blythe Books is looking for talented individuals to work with us in numerous areas. Please see below for opportunities we have for employees, vendors, and class instructors.

Preference will be given to vendors and authors in the Western PA/WV/Eastern OH area as Blythe Books commits to sourcing local items whenever possible. This does not exclude people from outside this region from applying, but we are limited in the amount we are able to stock.

Employment Opportunities

We are looking for vendors and authors from the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania area to fill our shelves with. We currently have need for the below items:

  • Books written by local authors (independently published is acceptable)

  • Book themed bath and body products

  • Children items for art, reading, and creativity

  • Book themed magnets, pins, stickers, or hats

  • Book themed gifts

  • General artwork

If an item is not listed above, please contact us if you think you have something we would benefit from stocking in our store.

Vendor Opportunities

Blythe Books is looking for skilled individuals able to teach classes for up to 12 participants at our storefront. We will provide the location, you provide the skills and know-how.

Classes we are looking to offer include but are not limited to:

  • Basic art instruction for adults

  • Basic art instruction for children

  • Book skills such as papermaking or book binding

  • String-based instruction including knitting, crochet, or needlepoint.

  • Candle making, soap making, jewelry making, etc.

Class fees are set by the instructor with a small co-pay to Blythe Books.

Class Instruction Opportunities

We are not looking for the following vendors at this time (most likely we already have a working partnership with someone):

  • Book-themed candles/candle accessories

  • Bookmarks

Book Club Opportunities

Book Clubs, Literary Meet-ups, Writers Groups, and other non-profit organizations:

We offer Exclusive Store Time (EST) for your group to meet at our location and shop. We will open our shop to your members only for a two-hour time period. During that time, you can use our location to shop, host a meet-up, or anything else you can envision.

There is a limit of one free meet-up per quarter per group. Additional meetups can be planned for a small fee to Blythe Books.
